Tales from The Trunk at Family Fest 2025

New for 2025, Tales from the Trunk brings Interactive Storytelling on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Come and hear of the wild adventures of Perse and her dragon, Englebert, as they slip through time to discover the myths, legends, and tales of wonder from around the world: from Heracles to the Crowned Monkey, from Pirates to the Hob (a curious fellow from the north of England, there is a story for everyone to enjoy.

Join your storyteller, Sam, in an explorer’s bell tent with a marvellous collection of Perse’s treasures from her adventures as he tells you Tales from the Trunk.

Stories are aimed at children aged 6 - 14 years; however, all ages are welcome to come and experience the immersive storytelling adventures. Children under 6 need to be accompanied by an adult.

There will be multiple story sessions throughout the day, each around 25-35 minutes.

When we are not travelling in our Bell tent. We run Tales from the Trunk as a letter subscription where you can receive a letter once a month from Perse about her latest adventures. The letters include an illustrated story, a page from Perse's adventure journal and a postcard to write your very own adventure on to send to a friend.
